Remembering – God will be glorified!

This morning, I read from Psalm 35, They repay me evil for good; my soul is bereft (sorrowful). The events of yesterday and the sad killing of an innocent man are nothing new. The enemy was intent on killing the prophets and sought to silence the Word of the Lord. The enemy was intent on killing Jesus and attempted to silence the hope of salvation. The enemy was intent in killing of many innocent individuals on historic 9/11. The enemy was intent on killing Charlie Kirk yesterday and attempted to silence a strong voice for righteousness, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and conservatism. Though the enemy of our sovereign Lord may try to silence, he will not be victorious; he will not win.

May we ever remember our Lord wastes nothing, but in His sovereign design will use all for His glory. Though we may mourn the death of a noted individual, or one who is only known to a few, may our lives continue to exalt our Lord and Savior. May we continue to declare His righteousness and the hope of the Gospel. May we continue to anticipate the Lord using the events of our days, and using us, for His glory. May we never cease, as the Psalmist concluded, my tongue shall tell of your righteousness, and of your praise all the day long.

May our focus continue to be on Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12.2).

Today – we do have much to be thankful for –
Terry
