Revelation 15.1-8
Judgment. A day is coming when the wrath of God’s judgment will be seen throughout the earth. Devastation, horror, sadness, lostness, emptiness, hopelessness. God’s sickle of judgment (Revelation 14.15-16) will be unavoidable for all those who deny the Lord Jesus Christ, who follow the patterns of the world’s vain thoughts, and who satisfy themselves with their own vain philosophies and conclusions.
However, for those who follow the Lord, for those who know Jesus Christ as Savior, for those who endure to the end, there is the fullness of redemption and hope. In those final days of Tribulation the saints will sing the song of Moses and the Lamb, saying, “Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations! Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed” (Revelation 15.3-4).
A day is coming when those who have turned their back on the Lord and rejected Jesus Christ as Savior will fall before Him. In judgement they will know there is only One True God, there is only One True Creator, there is only One who has power and authority over all creation. For those reading these words, may you know Jesus Christ, not just with knowledge of His being, but with the eyes of faith. May you know Him to be your Savior, the Son of God who came to earth to dwell among those He made, to die on a Cross and shed His blood to redeem people from sin and judgment, who rose from a cold grave to demonstrate His power and authority over all the bondage of sin, over all the demonic activity of the evil one, and over eternal death. May you know this Jesus who is someday coming again for His own, as the trumpet will sound for those who have placed their faith in Him. May you know this Jesus who will one day come in judgment and rule in righteousness. Regardless of the deceitful conclusions of people regarding His existence and the end of the earth, there will come a day when all will know and see the holiness and authority of the Lord. May you know this Jesus and His salvation today.
Where must a sinner fly, That feels himself undone?
On what kind hand rely, Eternal wrath to shun?
Can wit or reason help him out, And bring a lasting peace about?
Reason no help can give, But leaves him in distress;
Nor can he be reprieved By works of righteousness;
The law as loud as thunder cries, “The soul that sins against me, dies.”
Salvation is of God; Jehovah is his name;
The Savior shed his blood; The Lord of Life was slain;
And by his own atoning blood, He made a precious way to God.
Here sinners may draw near, With all their sin and guilt;
Nor death nor danger fear, Since Jesus’ blood was spilt;
A door of hope is opened wide, In Jesus’ bleeding hands and side.
