Tomorrow is election day in the United States. Votes will be cast, and a new president will be selected by the people. We pray for wisdom in voting in a manner which pleases the Lord; we pray for a particular candidate to be victorious and hope the election outcome fits our desires; we pray for righteousness to prevail, and for the Lord to use whatever the results to bring glory to His Name. I read from Proverbs 21.1 this morning” The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD, he turns it wherever he will. A reminder for us: God is in control, and He will accomplish His purpose. Might it be our earnest desire and prayer to honor the Lord, whatever the results.
Living in these United States and knowing our Lord and Savior – we have much reason for thankfulness.
